He married Ann Philp Larbert, 1st July 1790. Ann was the daughter of ? Philp and ? Stewart. Ann died 1855 Larbert.

Alexander Christie and Ann Philp had the following children:

2 i. James² Christie was born Larbert 12th April 1797.

3 ii. Helen Christie was born Larbert 11th September 1800.

4 iii. Anne Christie was born Larbert c1806. Anne died 21st November 1886 No 5 Kelvinside Ave., Maryhill, Glasgow, at 80 years of age. She married twice. She married William Young None, None. (See William Young for the continuation of this line.) She married William Penman Larbert, 8th December 1828. William was born Kinnaird, Larbert 25th August 1805. William was the son of Alexander Penman and Mary Borrowman. William died 16th July 1885 Stenhousemuir, Larbert, at 79 years of age. (See William Penman for the continuation of this line.)

5 iv. Grizel Christie was born Larbert 15th April 1807.
