He married Annie Odam Rutherglen, Lanark, 1917. Annie was born Glasgow 19th August 1887. Annie was the daughter of Henry Odam and Margaret King Barbour. Annie died 1967 Glasgow, at 79 years of age.

Benjamin Ireland and Annie Odam had the following child:
