2. George² Schmidt (Jacob¹) was born Neukirchen, Ziegenhaim, Hesse Cassel 1839. George died 1907? Whitechapel, at 68 years of age.

He married twice. He married Sarah Harris St Mary le Strand, Westminster, 31st December 1862. Sarah was born St Giles, Middlesex 1837. Sarah was the daughter of Benjamin Harris and Sarah Allday. Sarah died JUN 1901 Whitechapel, at 63 years of age. He married Elizabeth Bealey Christchurch, Spitalfields, 2nd February 1902. Elizabeth was born Lambeth, Surrey c1848.

George Schmidt and Sarah Harris had the following children:

3 i. George Benjamin³ Schmidt was born St Giles January 1863. George died June 1863 St Giles, at less than one year of age.

4 ii. Sarah Schmidt was born St Giles, London 3rd July 1865. She married James Esherwood Christchurch Spitalfields, 18th October 1891. James was the son of Benjamin Esherwood.

+ 5 iii. George Schmidt was born 13th January 1868.

+ 6 iv. Frederick Schmidt was born 16th October 1869.

+ 7 v. Alfred Schmidt was born 1872.

8 vi. Caroline Schmidt was born Whitechapel 1875. She married Walter Hayfield St Stephens, Spitalfield, 30th June 1895. Walter was born Goodmans Fields 1873?. Walter was the son of Elizabeth Hayfield. (See Walter Hayfield for the continuation of this line.)

9 vii. Martha Schmidt was born Whitechapel 4th March 1878. She married Joseph Dean Christchurch, Spitalfields, 24th July 1898. Joseph was born 1874. Joseph was the son of Thomas Dean.
