2. James² Middleton (James¹) was born Oxford c1816.

He married Mary Elizabeth James Kite St Pauls, Bunhill Row, Finsbury, London, 24th October 1852. Mary was born Middlesex c1830. Mary was the daughter of John Kite and Elizabeth James.

James Middleton and Mary Elizabeth James Kite had the following children:

3 i. James George³ Middleton was born St George in the East, Middlesex 13th September 1856.

4 ii. Edwin Joseph Middleton was born City of London 14th September 1856.

5 iii. John Frederick Middleton was born West London (St Barts?) 23rd February 1858.

6 iv. Elizabeth Harriet Middleton was born 55 West Street, Smithfield, London 7th August 1861. Elizabeth died c1944 Farnborough, Hants, at 82 years of age. She married John Coombes St Mark's Clerkenwell, 17th December 1884. John was born North Tawton, Devon c1863. John was the son of William Coombe(s) and Elizabeth Roach. John died 1936 Aldershot, at 73 years of age. (See John Coombes for the continuation of this line.)
