1. Thomas¹ Manton was born Fineshade, Northamptonshire September 1837.

He married Sarah Ann White Uppingham, Rutland, December 1861. Sarah was born Wakerley, Northamptonshire.

Thomas Manton and Sarah Ann White had the following child:

2 i. Sarah Ann² Manton was born Barrowden, Rutland c1865. She married Charles Arthur Stapleton Uppingham, Rutland, 1885. Charles was born Fineshade, Northants 1857. Charles was the son of George Stapleton and Mary Ann Palmer. (See Charles Arthur Stapleton for the continuation of this line.)
