He married Mary Ann Morgan Auchindoir, 4th June 1873. Mary was born Auchindoir 18th December 1851. Mary was the daughter of William Morgan and Katherine or Catharine Skeckles or Skakle.

James Watt and Mary Ann Morgan had the following children:

4 ii. Jane Hunter Watt was born Auchindoir 1875. She married J Bank Wigton, 1929.

6 iv. William Watt was born Auchindoir c1878. He married Charlotte ?.

+ 7 v. Gordon Watt was born 1881?.

8 vi. Alexander Watt was born Auchindoir c1882.

9 vii. Mary Ann Watt was born Auchindoir c1883.

10 viii. Isabella Caroline (Tibbie) Watt was born Auchindoir 1885. She married Thomas Farquarson Stewart. Thomas was the son of ? Stewart and Elizabeth Farquarson ?. (See Thomas Farquarson Stewart for the continuation of this line.)

11 ix. John Watt was born Auchindoir 1887?.

12 x. Elizabeth Watt was born Newmill, Auchindoir 11th August 1888. Elizabeth died 1969 at 80 years of age. She married Robert Innes Fraser Lumsden, Auchindoir, 25th December 1908. Robert was born Upper Balfour, Forbes, Tullynessle 21st April 1886. Robert was the son of James Fraser and Margaret Innes. Robert died 1961 at 75 years of age.
