6. John⁴ Barbour (John³, Robert², Peter¹) was born Lochwinnoch 2nd May 1812. John died 27th February 1900 Glasgow, at 87 years of age.

He married Marjory King Lochwinnoch, 4th April 1835. Marjory was born Lochwinnoch 24th September 1809. Marjory was the daughter of James King and Marjory King. Marjory died 26th September 1889 Glasgow, at 80 years of age.

John Barbour and Marjory King had the following children:

7 i. Marjory⁵ Barbour was born Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire 1835.

8 ii. John Barbour was born Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire 1837.

9 iii. James Barbour was born Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire 1839.

+ 10 iv. Janet Barbour was born 1842.

11 v. William Barbour was born Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire c1846.

12 vi. Robert Barbour was born Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire 1848.

+ 13 vii. Thomas Barbour was born 16th January 1853.

14 viii. Margaret King Barbour was born Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire 8th August 1856. Margaret died 1942 Springburn, Glasgow, at 85 years of age. She married Henry Odam Edmund Street, Glasgow No 39, 8th August 1876. Henry was born England (Exeter?) c1848. Henry was the son of Henry Odam and Ann Blamey. Henry died 13th January 1927 Balarnock Road, Glasgow No 133, at 78 years of age. (See Henry Odam for the continuation of this line.)
