1. William¹ Caldwell was born Lochwinnoch c1675.

He married Jean Car. Jean was born Lochwinnoch c1679.

William Caldwell and Jean Car had the following children:

2 i. William² Caldwell was born Meikle Gavan, Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire c1700.

3 ii. Elizabeth Caldwell was born Lochwinnoch? c1701. Elizabeth died c1762 Lochwinnoch, at 61 years of age. She married Peter Barbour 14th February 1722. Peter was born Meikle Gavan, Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire 2nd March 1692. (See Peter Barbour for the continuation of this line.)

4 iii. Janet Caldwell was born Gavan, Lochwinnoch, Renfrewshire c1708.
