24. Laurence Charles⁴ Schmidt (Frederick³, George², Jacob¹) was born Whitechapel 26th October 1902. Laurence died 1976 Thundersley, Essex, at 73 years of age.

He married Violet Rose Patterson St Catherine, Cree, 1926. Violet was born 35 Pratts Road, Lower Clapton, Hackney 18th February 1903. Violet was the daughter of Harry Hubert Patterson and Rosina Alice Smith. Violet died July, 1989 Thundersley, Essex, at 86 years of age.

Laurence Charles Schmidt and Violet Rose Patterson had the following children:

+ 36 i. Laurence Christopher⁵ Smith was born 15th March 1928.

+ 37 ii. Ian Russell Smith (still alive).
