3. Edward Ferguson³ Hotchkiss (Cornelius², Edward¹) was born Osage City, Osage County, Kansas 2nd February 1882. Edward died 10th September 1947 Norton Hospital, Norton, Kansas, at 65 years of age.

He married Nellie Louise Washington. Nellie was born Burlingame, Osage, Kansas 6th June 1889. Nellie died 23rd November 1977 Burlingame, Osage, Kansas, at 88 years of age.

Edward Ferguson Hotchkiss and Nellie Louise Washington had the following child:

+ 4 i. James Arthur⁴ Hotchkiss was born 6th December 1914.
