4. James Arthur⁴ Hotchkiss (Edward Ferguson³, Cornelius², Edward¹) was born Burlingame, Osage, Kansas 6th December 1914. James died 14th January 1991 Emporia Hospital, Emporia, Lyon County, Kansas, at 76 years of age.

He married Alice Louise Woolery. Alice was born Osage City, Kansas 10th June 1920. Alice died 21st January 1996 Holiday Resort Nur, Emporia, Lyon County, Kansas, at 75 years of age.

James Arthur Hotchkiss and Alice Louise Woolery had the following child:

+ 5 i. Rex James⁵ Hotchkiss was born 17th July 1936.
