32. James Edward Stone⁵ Townsend (James Davis⁴, Henry³, John², Thomas¹) was born Silver Street Trowbridge Wilts 17th January 1844. James died 1906 Wandsworth, at 62 years of age.

He married Jane Thorp St Luke's Chelsea, 12th March 1870. Jane was born Repton, Derbyshire 1841. Jane was the daughter of William Thorp.

James Edward Stone Townsend and Jane Thorp had the following children:

+ 76 i. James William⁶ Townsend was born 3rd December 1870.

77 ii. Henry M Townsend was born Birch, Essex 1873.

78 iii. Thomas Townsend was born Birch, Essex 1876.

79 iv. Matilda Amy Townsend was born Chelsea, Middlesex 15th October 1877. She married Ernest George Berry St Barnabas, Clapham Common, 8th July 1899. Ernest was born Paddington 1874. Ernest was the son of George Henry Berry. (See Ernest George Berry for the continuation of this line.)

80 v. Amy Townsend was born London c1878.

81 vi. Nelly (Ellen) Townsend was born Pimlico, Middlesex 1880.

82 vii. Annie Esther Townsend was born Kensington 1884. She married Ernest George Berry St Barnabas, Clapham, 30th April 1910. Ernest was born Paddington 1874. Ernest was the son of George Henry Berry. (See Ernest George Berry for the continuation of this line.)

83 viii. John Townsend was born Chelsea c 1886.
